Played 3 rounds of golf in the Marbella/Malaga region last week. \" fantastic cources, 1 not so great. Cabopino is extremely difficult to find in the first instance. The maps that I went to the bother printing out from this website directed me to a petrol station, about 5 miles from the actual course. Not the best start.
To the course itself; they have to be the worst greens I have ever played on. They are not very well maintained at all. Every green had bald patches on them, no grass, so that you were effectively trying to putt on dirt.
Bunkers were like concrete, sand was at most a few mm\'s of covering.
Fairways and Tees were ok.
The pace of the golf was painful. 4 hours 30mins for a round.
All in all, there are a lot of better courses to play in this region of Spain, and I would recommend to anyone that you look elsewhere.
